400V Powertrains: Widely used with simpler 2-level topologies.

800V Powertrains: Common in higher voltage systems, such as electric trains and ships, which may use more complex multi-level topologies.


The selection of capacitor types and specifications depends on the chosen inverter topology. For instance, 400V powertrains typically demand compact and cost-effective solutions, while 800V systems prioritize higher voltage endurance and advanced thermal management. Film capacitors excel in meeting these varied requirements due to their customizable properties and scalability.
